Contact Customer Service Center of your chosen new service provider and apply in the prescribed application form. It will take 48-96 hrs to port you number to new mobile service Provider.
TRAI has put a ceiling of Rs. 19/- on porting charges which the new service provider may collect from the subscriber. (But which is nil in BSNL at present))
What You Get
You can enjoy a better service or tariff plan without losing your current mobile number.
What You Lose
- Your old SIM card
- All the products and services you currently activated
- Unused talk-time, voicemail messages, validity etc will be lost.
