An earthquake of 8.9 on Richter scale has struck Indonesia. Tremors were also felt in Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Patna, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Cuttack, Bhubaneshwar and several other cities on the eastern coast of India. Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has issued a bulletin for all areas of the Indian ocean in TSUNAMI watch is effect. This areas include some major cities in India. This bulletin is issued as advice to Government agencies.
